INDIANAPOLIS – October 22, 2024 – Strada Education Foundation, which works to strengthen the connection between education and opportunity, today announced the appointment of Beth Cobert as the organization’s first President of Affiliates and Strategic Partnerships.

Cobert will provide leadership for the development and stewardship of Strada’s portfolio of affiliates, as well as its multi-year partnerships with mission-aligned nonprofit organizations. She will be based in Strada’s Washington, D.C. office.

“Strada has set an ambitious course for expanding equitable pathways to opportunity for more Americans, which will require deep and lasting partnerships along the education-to-work continuum,” said Stephen Moret, CEO of Strada Education Foundation. “We are thrilled to have someone of Beth’s caliber to help us shape and execute a vision of forward-thinking collaboration that will strengthen the path forward for individuals across the country.”

Cobert brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Strada. Most recently she was President of the Markle Foundation, where she led Markle’s Rework America Alliance. Previously, she served as Deputy Director for Management and U.S. Chief Performance Officer for the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB), as well as Acting Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). “We face unparalleled opportunities and challenges as a nation in connecting more Americans with quality education options and career pathways that are critical for a vibrant economy and a healthy society,” Cobert said. “I am humbled and honored to be part of Strada’s movement toward these ambitious and necessary goals.”

Cobert earned a BA in economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University. She serves on Princeton’s Board of Trustees and is an appointee of the U.S. Department of Commerce to the National AI Advisory Committee (NAIAC), which advises the President on a range of issues related to artificial intelligence.
