Travis Reindl joined Strada Education Foundation as chief communications officer in September 2023. He leads a team focused on promoting and advocating for policies that drive change in support of Strada’s mission.
Reindl has more than 25 years of experience in policy and strategic communications with a focus on postsecondary education.
Before joining Strada, Reindl served as senior vice president of communications for Helios Education Foundation. He was part of the foundation’s senior leadership team and led the development and execution of its annual strategic communications plan.
Before joining Helios, Reindl was senior program officer of communications for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, for which he oversaw print, digital, and social media communications for the foundation’s postsecondary success strategy. He also developed and executed a $10 million portfolio of communications and advocacy investments. Before that, he led the development of the first policy advocacy playbook for the foundation’s U.S. program as senior program officer of policy advocacy.
Reindl also served as program director for the National Governors Association and was responsible for the group’s Center for Best Practices in higher education portfolio.
Reindl earned his bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his master’s degree in public policy from the University of Maryland, College Park, and graduated summa cum laude.
